Dr Sebastian Durst has been with Weidmüller since 2015 after 10 years as a management consultant. Christian Gläsel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the family-owned company, is pleased: ‘With Dr Durst, we were able to gain an expert from our internal team for the role of CEO, who will powerfully drive forward the successful transformation of Weidmüller.

Dr Christian von Toll, previously responsible for the sales business in the Germany/Switzerland/Austria region, has been appointed to the Executive Board and will assume the position of Chief Sales Officer (CSO). With his broad experience in sales, also in the USA, he will strengthen the global business and further expand customer proximity.

Dr Timo Berger, previously CSO formerly holding a variety of technology roles, will take over the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In his new function he will accelerate the market-oriented development of products and solutions.

André Sombecki, with his extensive experience in finance and controlling, will remain Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and ensure stability and continuity in the company's business management.

Volker Bibelhausen, Spokesman of the Executive Board, CTO and also responsible for Operations until March 2023, will leave the company by mutual agreement. ‘Mr Bibelhausen has made significant contributions to the successful further development of the company over the past six years. We would like to thank him warmly for his extremely dedicated work and wish him all the best,’ emphasises Gläsel.

With this reorganisation of the Executive Board, Weidmüller is placing a clear focus on future challenges and the consistent implementation of its growth strategy.
