To shield on one or both sides? This is a frequent cause of dispute in all applications with long wiring and cable routes. Especially in shipbuilding, rail infrastructure, power stations and process plants.
Our shield clamp KLBUE RC now enables the discharge of high-frequent interference currents. In combination with the standard KLBUE, the high-frequent interfering signal is earthed on both sides, but the low-frequent signals run through the potential equalisation system (e.g. EBB 25-50/16) and thus cannot generate cross currents in the shielding. Otherwise, there is a risk that the compensating currents damage the shielding.
The built-in high pass blocks low frequency currents and at the same time provides for a safe discharge of interference at the nearest end.
Typical application area: large container ships, where ground diversions occur due to the long cables in the ship's hull
Integrated high pass
The frequency filter in the shield clamp prevents the potential from being transferred across the cable shield. Interfering compensating currents are effectively suppressed.
The carrier housing provides sufficient space to mark the component clearly with the SM 27/8 marker. Different colours make the labelling very clearly structured.
Certified vibration resistance
The KLBUE RC series is certified for resistance to vibration. It meets the requirements of rail systems and wind-power plants, and can be used in mobile installations.
For diameters from 3 – 20 mm
Three different terminal sizes (3 – 8, 4 – 13.5 and 10 – 20 mm) match to the cable diameters, ensuring secure contact.
