The electrical engineering group Weidmüller again received the accolade “Top Employer for Engineers” in Düsseldorf from the independent research organisation, the “Top Employers Institute” (formerly the CRF Institute). The family-owned company, headquartered in Detmold (Germany), got especially good marks for its training and personal development offers and fringe benefits. The Top certificate is awarded annually and is conferred on companies, which offer especially attractive services and benefits for their employees. The companies must undergo a multi-stage research and audit process and fulfil strict quality criteria in relation to their human resources policies.

This is now the seventh time that the Top Employers Institute has awarded the Top Employer for Engineers Quality Seal. In all 26 companies participated in this year's study. The participants were evaluated in relation to career opportunities, primary and secondary benefits including work-life balance, training & personal development as well as corporate culture and innovation management. Only companies with the highest standards of human resources management are eligible for the Employer Quality Seal.
The designation as Top Employer for Engineers also confirms Weidmüller's global HR strategy. In 2014, the company has for the third time running been declared “Best Employer” in China. The key criteria were harmonious working conditions, high levels of employee satisfaction and a good reputation as an employer. “As a globally operating company, our focus is on offering all our employees all over the world an attractive working environment and standardised in-service education and training opportunities,” says Ober. “After all, also internationally, our employees are the biggest factor in our success.”
