Detmold, 28.11.2016. Weidmüller celebrated with 37 long-serving employees from three countries their 25 or 40 years' service with the company, at the International Jubilee Party held on 25th November 2016 in the Atrium in Detmold. The employees and their partners had travelled from Spain, Italy and Germany to the event. In total, they were celebrating over 970 years of service to the company.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board Christian Gläsel expressed his gratitude to the long-serving employees. "You have dedicated yourselves to our company for 25 and 40 years respectively and have constantly underlined your commitment and motivation in a range of situations," said Gläsel in his speech. So I'd like to thank you personally and on behalf of the family owners as well as on behalf of the Supervisory Board."
37 long-serving employees from three countries attended the international party and swapped stories about their time at Weidmüller.
In his speech, Weidmüller Chief Executive Officer Dr Peter Köhler went on a trip back in time with the company employees and thanked them for their many years of dedication to the company. "Weidmüller is famous for its connections, and that includes its connection to its employees. You, dear employees, have been loyal to our company for many years. This loyalty and commitment is one of the most significant factors in our success," added Köhler. Robert Chwalek, Chairman of the Works Council, also emphasized the long-term commitment of the employees in his speech.
As a permanent reminder of their special day, the long-servers received a badge of honour and a valuable Weidmüller embossed gold coin. These were handed over to each one in person by Dr Peter Köhler, José Carlos Álvarez Tobar and Jörg Timmermann.
