Product-related Environmental Protection

The health of our employees as well as the reduction of environmental impact through our products are in the focus of Weidmüller’s accurate environmental management.

 

Weidmüller aims to live up to these goals by pursuing a sustainable Environmental management, Occupational health and safety policies and Energy policies – to protect the environment as well as the safety and the health of our employees. The aim of Weidmüller environmental management system is the efficient use of resources and to be compliant with global environmental statutory.

Information about Environmental Product related Issues play an important role for Weidmüller. The following provides an overview of two environmental directives whose implementation is of highest priority for Weidmüller.

 
The restriction of lead and five other potentially hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment is specified by the EU-Directive 2002/95/EC.
The European Chemical Regulation REACH stands for registration, evaluation and authorisation of chemicals.
