Dear Readers,
Dear Readers,
Be it freezing cold, desert heat or tropical storms – our products are exposed to all varieties of climatic extremes. Our clients' applications can be found from the polar regions to the equator. This means they are subject to widely fluctuating temperatures and humidity levels, need to comply with a variety of different standards and approvals and, last but not least, meet different user preferences.
To make sure that our products work perfectly in these diverse environmental conditions, the practical demands are directly input during the planning stage of our products. This is based on the strong connection we have with our markets. Through our globally distributed industry managers we collect practical experiences and are therefore able to create the best connections – to our customers, their industries and their special needs.

An example of the advantages given by this global know-how network can be seen in our project with the Spanish train manufacturer, Talgo (pp. 8 & 9). Along with safe power distribution solutions for extreme climatic conditions, we can offer Talgo support with a smooth production transfer for its train series from Spain to Kazakhstan. We have worked together with our partners on location in Spain and Kazakhstan in order to best understand and implement the project’s individual requirements. The same recipe for success can also be found as the basis for the development of our lighting solution, FieldPower® LED for the wind power industry (pp. 16 & 17). The lamps are designed so that the wind turbine plant manufacturer can use the same type in all the international wind farm projects.
Further interesting customer projects from around the world and background articles about our new products and technologies are collected together for you in this latest issue of WIN!. I hope you enjoy reading our magazine and that you discover a number of interesting ideas.
Yours sincerely,
Volpert Briel
