Compact flexibility

Signal converter WAVE TTA and opto module TERMOPTO

    Initial situation

Built between 1965 and 1967, the Mátrai Erőmű lignite-fired coal power plant has undergone a series of updates to modernise it during the past decades. In this context, the electrical cabinets have also been repeatedly updated. Throughout the Mátrai Erőmű power plant, and also in the electrical cabinets, quality and safety were the two top priorities. Further criteria for the selection of the electrical components have been reduction of variants and saving of space.

    Solution

The WAVE TTA signal converter has been particularly impressing as it can be easily configured via the separate CBX200 USB interface using the TTA-Set software. This way, it fits precisely to the many applications throughout the power plant. The 6 mm wide TERMOPTO opto module allows fitting a lot of electronic functionality into a compact space within the electrical cabinet.
