Initial situation
BELIMO, the world’s leading manufacturer of drives used in heating, was unable to achieve fast and error free installation of its Multi-Point bus with standard wiring techniques, which is an absolute precondition for unreserved user acceptance of a system.
Solution
In cooperation with BELIMO, Weidmüller’s FieldPower® concept for decentralized automation and power distribution has been further developed as an installation base for the multi-point data bus. This way, BELIMO is now able to utilise standard installation cables and at the same time there are no wiring errors whatsoever, from the controller in the electrical cabinet through to the end device.
