Industrial Ethernet fibre optic connector, Variant 1

With the new industrial Ethernet variant-1 flange, Weidmüller is the first to offer an optimal solution for the use of fibre optic cables in compliance with the new EtherNet/IP specification. This connector is based on the SC-RJ mating interface; it can be used for applications with polymer optic fibres and glass fibres. Because of its compact design, the connector is well suited as a device interface and as a panel feed through in the electrical cabinet. The special design allows the plugging of IP20 fibre optic connectors to device flanges of IP67 devices. This is a particular advantage during the initial commissioning process.

Backwards compatible

For the initial commissioning, the IP20 fibre-optic connectors can be securely snapped into the IP67 flange.

All types of fibre optic cables, such as single mode, multi mode and polymer optic fibres are supported.

HTX-IE-POF tool

Weidmüller offers the best solution for the otherwise complex assembly of POF connectors. With just one tool, the HTX-IE POF takes over the stripping and crimping of 1-mm thick polymer optic fibres especially for the PROFINET and EtherNet/IP-SC-RJ connectors. Post cut polishing is not necessary anymore due to the precise cutting of the fibre at the ferrule.
