Terminal blocks for use with up to 1,000 V (UL)
Both the new three-tier terminals with PE contact ZDLD 2.5-2 and the new feed-through terminals ZDK 4-2/2 AN are suited for the use in wind power plants with up to 1000 V UL in compliance with the UL group E classification.
The new ZDLD multi-tier terminals have a no-screw PE contact to the mounting rail and a practical design for distributing potentials across three levels. This adaptation of the standard accessory is suitable for a variety of uses and fits particularly well with controller applications. The all-purpose wire connection has a cross-section ranging from 0.08 to 2.5 mm². It can even be used for contacting finely stranded sensor lines regardless of the type of wire. Using the three tiers and by using cross-connections or vertical connections on all three levels, less space for wiring is required and the voltage potentials can be flexibly distributed. The angled wire entry and the two PE contact points help you to save space and thus reduce costs.
The ZDK 4-2 feed-through terminal provides an excellent wiring solution when you have minimal space available and need 1000 V UL in compliance with the UL group E classification. A convenient wire entry and a reduced size are made possible by the slanted roof design with tension clamp system.

Possible uses in wind power turbines include the drive or the yaw system. The yaw system controls the alignment of the nacelle in the direction of the wind to ensure a maximum energy yield and also allows the turbine to be turned away from the wind for servicing purposes. To facilitate exact positioning, the components incorporated at this point must function flawlessly – but this is not a problem for Weidmüller's new tension-clamp terminal blocks.
