The RockStar® ConCept ST data module with STEADYTEC® technology is a versatile new Gigabit Ethernet module with the the modular ConCept connector design. Whether for RJ45, SC, LC or hybrid – the RockStar® ConCept ST data module offers the proper interface for the data and signal transmission in any application. The module can be combined with up to eight different data inserts; this platform strategy enables excellent flexibility for the application. STEADYTEC® products comply with all relevant standards concerning safety and performance. They provide highly reliable transmissions for optical and electrical signals and help to minimize manufacturing outages.

The grey RockStar®-ConCept-ST module housing is built with UL-listed polycarbonate. This material has been approved for both railway use and wind power applications. The features include: temperature range from -40°C to +75°C; flammability class V-0 in accordance with UL94 or I1F2 in accordance with NFF 16-101. The data module is approved in compliance with GOST and GL. Additional approvals are pending.
Connectors can be adapted to suit a wide range of requirements
Weidmüller has used a harmonised, consistently modular strategy for designing the Rockstar® ConCept. This design can be used as the basis for building connectors that comply with a wide range of requirements for electrical characteristics, power, data and signal transmission. The modules are positioned in solid-built module frames corresponding to the requirements of the application. This unit is then installed by the user in housing from the RockStar® heavy-duty connector line, which gives it IP 65/66 or IP 68/69K protection.
The modular RockStar® ConCept system has a proven record of excellence when used with machine and facility construction and the railway industry. The connectors can be used in wind power facilities for transmitting signal and data in blade pitch control systems. Thus they help to optimise the aerodynamic position of the rotor blades. In the railway industry, one of the uses of the RockStar® ConCept is to provide reliable communications for passenger information systems.
