Function-oriented control cabinet building

Weidmüller presents its solutions for function-oriented control cabinet building at this year’s Hannover trade fair.

With several concepts in the field of modular terminal blocks, respectively identification concepts, Weidmüller exemplifies visions and future scenarios. Robot-supported assembly of modular terminal blocks on mounting rails, accompanied by automatic marking, is the core of the presentation called "Future Zone". The robot is given its positioning information by the RailDesigner® software with direct interface to the superordinate CAE system (Computer Aided Engineering). The components to be mounted are structurally optimized for automated assembly. This is valid, too, for the design of the modular terminal blocks, which has been optimized as "process-fitting". The currently required high number of product variants will sensibly be reduced by the 3-pitch strategy.

The exhibits of the "Future Zone" serve as a basis for contact with customers to seize, discuss and realise their wishes, suggestions and ideas.
